You go on tour with Oomph! and it has become a kind of a tradition. Do you plan another tour with them?

JAVIX:

You never know, but if we have a new chance to do it, of course we’ll take it, there is a good relationship between the two bands.

DANI:

At moment there’s nothing planned, but we’ve built up a good relationship and maybe there is some possibility to repeat in the future .

V:

I hope so. In the last dates in Germany we were both very happy and there's a good connection between the bands.

PHARAOH:

This summer, we were supposed to play together again at RaS festival (Germany), however, given the circumstances, we aren’t sure if this will happen. Anyway, we are always willing to share the stage with them, it is always an honor, they are very close and friendly people, and of course we want it to become a tradition.

ESTEFANIA:

Unfortunately, we don’t have plans to tour again any time soon, we would love to repeat though. They are all very kind and we feel really comfortable working with them. It’s always a pleasure.

RAMON:

I hope that we keep in touch with OOMPH! In the future. It’s a big pleasure to be their support band but currently we don’t have any more tours planned with them, we wished to!

Do you have any difficulties connected with the fact that you guys live in different cities?

JAVI:

That’s not a problem for me because I have a vehicle to get around and nowadays with Internet I’m able communicate very well with my bandmates.

DANI:

In my case I’m in the worst situation because I’m from Parla (Madrid) and the others are most of them from Alicante, this means that I’m 4 hours away by car from them. So yes, I have some difficulties when it comes to practise with them, but I always rehearse at home and everything works fine.

V:

Personally, I don’t have many difficulties because I live pretty close from the other band members. But yes, as a general point of view, sometimes it's very difficult for all of us to coincide and carry out some activities (interviews, video recording, rehearsals ...), but after so many years we've got used to work this way and fortunately technology helps us.

PHARAOH:

I don’t have any difficulties to meet the other band members. I have my own car to get anywhere and I live very close to the rehearsal room.

ESTEFANIA:

Yes, the fact that I live one hour away from most of the band members makes it difficult to hang out with them and to rehearse, besides that I work weekday and that makes it impossible to rehearse from Monday to Friday. I’m just more limited than others.

RAMON:

Actually, no. I play the biggest instrument in the band so they have to move wherever it is. Drummers rule!

What hobbies besides music do you have?

JAVIX: I like doing a lot of sport and cuddle my cats, I love animals.

DANI: I like going to the cinema, play video games and do sports.

V: Music steals 80% of my time! (laughs), but apart from that I like to climb, I enjoy hiking, playing football, I also play videogames, go out to have some drinks with friends…

PHARAOH: The truth is that because of my studies, I hardly have time for anything else, however, I really like everything about vintage cars, camper vans, 4x4s, and especially I enjoy travelling using all of them.

ESTEFANÍA: I love sports so when I’m not involved in music at all I do sports. I’ve played football my whole life.

RAMON: I like to watch films, discover new places with my family and learn new technologies.

Are you for consistency in creativity or do you think that the style of a musician should change over time?

JAVIX:

I think you can keep your style, but you can also evolve little by little adding new nuances

DANI:

I think that it’s not correct to get out of your initial point, but when you move forward is good to experiment, but as I said before without changing your initial style.

V:

That’s a complicated question. I think more or less the same as Daniel, so in my opinion the musician should add new elements but remaining true to his style and his fans.

PHARAOH:

I think that times change, and as they change, everything must follow them. It seems to me that falling behind and looking the other way and let the times run without joining them it’s a mistake. Everything evolves, and music is no exception, whether we like it or not.

ESTEFANIA:

I agree with Pharaoh, our lives and our own selves, are constantly changing. I’m not the same 21 year old kid anymore, my tastes in music change and with that my creativity. So I’m openminded and ready for what is to come!

RAMON:

I personally believe that as a drummer I must continue growing in my musical knowledge (rhythms, groove, techniques) to support my projects with that creativity. So, I believe that a musician should grow and change over time from the point of view of professional evolution.

How has the world situation in connection with Covid-19 changed your life?

JAVIX:

My life didn’t change much because I keep working, I miss the concerts and seeing my family and friends.

DANI:

The situation with the virus has pretty much changed our lives. Luckily, I still can go out to work so I’m not always stuck at home. But I miss hanging out with my friends and all kind of events.

V:

I think that it’s kind of the same for all of us. I can’t be with all my loved ones, I can’t go out to practice the sports I like, and the most important, we can’t present our music live or go to other concerts. I believe that everything will return to normality soon and we'll remember this as a great challenge that we knew how to overcome together.

PHARAOH:

Actually, my life hasn’t changed much. The worst thing that has happened to us has been the cancellation of our concerts, but personally, I have a routine at home of studying and it’s not being a bad experience, I am quite comfortable, honestly. However, I hope that everything returns to normal soon and this remains as an anecdote and we can return to our lives.

ESTEFANIA:

Well, in my case it has change quite a lot starting from the point that I’m not living in my house at the moment. I had to move to another house that was empty to be together with my partner in order to have a more private space. So I miss a lot of things, my house, my cats, my family, friends… I miss driving, training football, and above all, playing concerts in front of people. All the tour dates have been postponed or canceled so we’re mentally working on acceptance. Anyway, I try to stay positive and I believe that something much better than what we had will come.

RAMON:

I think I have learned that human beings are such a fragile and flee thing in the world… today we are here and tomorrow, we won’tknow!
