Iggy Pop celebrates birthday

Iggy Pop is an American rock vocalist, one of the pioneers and gurus of alternative rock. For contribution to the development of rock-alternative styled "godfather" (sometimes "grandfather") of punk rock and grunge. In 2009, British magazine Classic Rock awarded it the title of "Living legend".
In the late 1960s — early 1970-x years of age, Iggy Pop was the lead singer in the rock band The Stooges, which is heavily influenced by the development of the nascent hard rock and punk rock. The Stooges became infamous for its live performances, often during which Iggy (traditionally performed with a naked torso) maimed himself, insulted the audience, undressed and jumped from the stage into the crowd (first used stage dive). The Stooges were unsuccessfully nominated seven times for inclusion in the Hall of fame rock-n-roll finally, on 15 March 2010 they were put there, at a ceremony held in new York.
The popularity of Iggy changed several times throughout his subsequent solo career. His best-known solo songs, including "Lust for Life", "I'm Bored", "Real Wild Child (Wild One)", "The Passenger" and the hit single "Candy" (a duet with the lead singer of The B-52's, Kate Pierson) in the Top 40. A biopic about his life and career called "The Passenger" is in development. The nickname "Iggy" he was given Michael Erlewin and other friends in the group "Prime Movers" because Osterberg first played in the band "The Iguanas". Iggy Pop is widely recognized as one of the most dynamic artists of all time.
