Saint-Petersburg on the stage of a multifunctional complex "M-1 arena" troupe will perform the iconic ballet by Maurice béjart - béjart Ballet Lausanne.

The work of Maurice Bejart has changed the traditional idea of ballet art. He never applied to the creation of classical ballet in its purest form. Innovative project Bejart and his ballet of steel synthetic performances, which combines dance, singing, and pantomime. His productions are always distinguished by a stunning blend of the highest professionalism, grace, subtly chosen music and mood. Since its inception in 1987, béjart Ballet Lausanne is the benchmark in the world of choreography. After the death of Boris Bejart in 2007, the troupe was headed by his student Gilles Roman. Under his leadership, the béjart Ballet Lausanne remains true to its vocation: to preserve the work of Maurice Bejart, while remaining a space of creativity.

19 APR artists béjart Ballet Lausanne will be shown in Petersburg the program in two parts. The first ballet "t 'and M Variations" with the music of nick cave and Warren Ellis, the second the dedication to the genius choreography of the XX century Maurice Bearu called "celebrating Maurice béjart".
