Performance"divine Comedy" 30 January in Saint-Petersburg
Play Nina Chusova on the motives of satirical fairy tale Isidore of Stock. Starring artistic Director of the Variety Theatre, one of the most beloved artists of the country – Yuri Galtsev.
The Soviet playwright Isidor Shtok wrote his "divine Comedy" in 1961. At the time, this interpretation of the biblical story appealed masters of domestic theatre George Tovstonogov at the BDT and Sergei Obraztsov puppet Theatre. On the Estrada Theatre stage production of "the divine Comedy" made by a famous Moscow Director, master of clowning and grotesque Nina Chusova.
The authors of the performance are asked to look at a satirical piece in a new way- as a philosophical Comedy about the birth of the chaos of real human feelings. The Creator succumbed to the provocations of the angels, produces in the life of Adam and eve. The latter-day people almost immediately begin to challenge the views of their Creator that generates a lot of tragicomic situations.
