Rest in rykowski: festival "Gicon" has gathered 16 000 visitors in the Park shopping center "Raduga Park"

31 August in the shopping center "Raduga Park" was held the first festival of geek culture "Gicon" from the creators of Night of Music

Over 9 hours of great geek-fest was attended by 16,000 guests. They plunged into the futuristic world of computer graphics, table games and other modern entertainment.

At the festival worked 5 interactive thematic tents. In the area of the PAPER-WORLD could look through your favorite comics and see the work of more than 25 new authors. In the area of CYBER-WORLD – to compete in eSports tournaments and play computer games. MIND-WORLD – area knowledge and experiments. In the science tent of information centers, each could have its physical or chemical experiment, and then become the jury in the trial of superheroes. Also in this area, everyone could listen to a 7-hour lectures from professionals in the geek sphere.

Day Park shopping center "Raduga Park" was filled with characters from anime, video games and comic book characters. Guests celebrated the three-hour cosplay show, in motoronline castielle 70 cosplayers. The participants competed for a cash prize in the categories of single and group shows.

In the evening the audience warmed atmospheric performance of the headliner Maxim of Freedom. Pouring rain and cold autumn air did not stop to enjoy the explosive songs of the artist. Thousands of fans in colorful raincoats sang along with the musician throughout the performance.

After the Maxim of Freedom on the stage stood the finalists of the challenge "let's stay home" and coordinator of the festival Sergei sivoplyas. The challenge started on August 27. Within 5 days 6 participants competed for a trip to Istanbul and watched movies from kynoselen Marvel right in the shopping center "Raduga Park". In the final two participants, who continued to answer tricky questions of the organizer is already on the main stage of the festival. In a brutal battle, the victory went to Anton Kovalenko.
