Marco Tapani Hietala is the bassist and second vocalist of the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. He joined the band before the recording of the album Century Child in 2002, after the departure of previous bassist Sami Vänskä. Hietala is also vocalist and bass guitarist of the Finnish band Tarot.
